Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine dry ingredients with wet. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra gooey centers, slightly underbake the cookies.
- Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for a flavor boost.
